The 5.2 patch launch is getting closer and it's always good to be prepared for the upcoming changes.
Unlike the previous content patches, the transition between the 5.1 patch and 5.2 patch will be a bit different.

Points and rewards conversion
The Conquest points will convert to Honor and Honor to gold. That's how it always was. But here is the interesting part. The Valor and Justice points are not going to be converted. That means that you'll be able to start the 5.2 content with 4000 Justice points and 3000 Valor points.

The PvP gear is going to keep the normal schedule, so nothing new here. On the other hand, the PvE rewards will work a bit different:

• The cost of Valor Point gear introduced in the 5.0 patch has been reduced by 50%.
• The cost of Valor Point gear introduced in the 5.1 patch has been reduced by 25%.

This means that the Valor rewards are going to be cheaper in the 5.2 patch, but apparently the Justice rewards will keep their current price.

The rewards
In the 5.2 patch, most of the Valor rewards are tied to the Shado-Pan Assault faction. This faction will sell iLevel 522 items and their reputation will be mainly available from the Throne of Thunder raid.
The Kirin Tor Offensive and Sunreaver Onslaught quartermasters have some Valor rewards as well. iLevel 496 rings and the reputation is available through daily quests.

Unfortunately the Justice points have no real use. Maybe something is going to be added before the 5.2 launch, but it's unlikely.

Item upgrades
We already wrote about this change... In 5.2, the item upgrades are gone, so plan ahead and keep in mind that you wont be able to upgrade anymore. If you really want to upgrade some item, you better do it before the patch.

Conclusion
The changes for the Valor and Justice points in the 5.2 patch are pretty nice. The only thing that bothers me is that Justice points are even more useless now. We used to have some BoE items to help our alts or to sell, but now, except for the old gear, heirlooms and a green battle pets stone, there is nothing we can do with those points. I'm sure everyone will tell me now to convert them to Honor. That would be useful, but too bad thst the honor is capped as well.

I think something has to be done regarding these points, but what? Any ideas?
