This year we had a lot of Beta Keys giveaways. Over 200 Mists os Pandaria beta keys, 75 Diablo 3 beta keys and now is time for some Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm beta keys. We have 75 keys to hand out, all thanks to Blizzard and their EU Community Team.

i expect from hots that they have learned from the mistakes in sc2:wol. wol is kinda balanced but some matchups seems kind of stagnated. i hope the new units bring new twists and timing and a whole lot of new tactics in the game.

Q: Why do you want this Beta key? What do you expect from SC2: HotS?
A: I want the Beta-Key because i'm curious to test the new game very detailed and i want to write some quality feedbacks for Blizzard to possibly improve it even more before it gets released. At this point i don't expect a perfectly balanced game but i really expect new strategies because of the new units and stuff like this. Because Starcraft 2:Wings of Liberty really bores me a lot cause the metagame heavily stagnated through the last half year or so, i'm pumped to test out units like the Tempest or the Oracle... overall i expect SC2:HotS to revive my love for crazy non-standard play-styles and that's why my blog will be filled with entries if i'm able to go through an insane test period.

I've been playing Wol for nearly two years and want to playing something new, play the new units and new features in Hots.
I expect Hots to be a close as possible to a well balanced game, and also a viable esport.
I want the beta key because SC2 is an amazing game and i'd like to see the new units in action!

HotS is going to dramatically change SC2; it's going to be the Wild West again like it was with the release of WoL: crazy builds, unpredictable outcomes, dogs and cats living together--MASS HYSTERIA! I fully expect Battle.net to be even more awesome too, and I can't wait to join a clan.
(ps, I'm also getting married in December, and if I don't get the New Blizzard Game Fever out of my system by then, she might leave me by January. Please guys, this is my future here)
A. Well I have played SC since the times of broodwar and I then transitioned to SC2, unfortunately I wasn't able to play in the Beta for WoL, but I have been playing it since its release date 2 years ago. I have always been a huge fan of StarCraft and I would like to continue this. Also I want the Beta because I believe my input and knowledge of the game would help David Kim and Dustin Browder with developing it and helping it to be a better game. I expect HoTS to be a better version of WoL in which it's more balanced and competitive, but at the same time caters to the less competitive customers who just want to have fun. And I believe my suggestions would help them if I received a Beta Key! Thanks!!!
As a Masters Terran and Masters Zerg on EU and NA, across 4 accounts, I would love the opportunity to test HotS and feel that I would have the time and ability to give the necessary feedback to help improve the game we all love!
I really expect a tremendous amount from the HotS expansion and I think that I would also be able to give insight into two of the three races being developed!
We need to put an end to this and gain the tactical andvantage we need before we get overrun. With the extra time given through the beta more terrans should be prepaired and reequipped with new strategy to combat the current zerg domination. Hopefully we can regain long lost glory!
So by the power of Flash, The Ultimate Weapon, God himself... I order you to hand me a beta key.

A: First of all to test out all the new features, specifically the levelling system and unranked play. As a zerg player I'm also excited to try the Swarm host, viper and see how effective hydras with speed are in late game.
Like others who are into Starcraft but not that crazy about competitive Starcraft,I expect Heart of the Swarm to address some of the major problems Wings of Liberty has with catering to the casual audience.
For example, there's literally nothing to do on Wings of Liberty besides ladder. You either ladder, or play some custom game that's probably empty.
When queuing up for Free for All, you have to wait 1-2 hours beforing finding 7 other people.
Maybe you just like WATCHING starcraft, but you're not even allowed to watch replays online with your friends together. Sometimes you just want watch someoen else ladder, maybe learn a thing or two from them but I'm not allowed to do that. League of Legends and DOTA 2 have this feature where you can spectate a game playing by any player. It gives casuals something to do if they don't want to play in a match.
There are many other things that is wrong with Wings of Liberty in regards to casual players. I want to participate in the HOTS beta because I want to contribute to the feedback and development of this wonderful game that I cant help but love.
I really love playing terran and would like to try out blizzard's future terran mechanics and unit synergy.
What do you expect from SC2: HotS?
I expect it to be just as fun and just as challenging as WoL! I can't wait to play it.
I wan´t a Starcraft 2 betakey because I am a incredible dedicated Starcraft 2 fan ! Getting a betakey invite to hots would mean alot for me and I would do my best to give as productive feedback to Blizzard as I can, to help the game in the right way.
I do really wan´t Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm to get as good as Starcraft Brood War, maybe even better. If I don´t get the betakey invite I really hope that the people that get it help Blizzard to get the game in the right way.

Becuase I want to be "that" guy. You know him he's the guy that even though it's a beta he cheeses or all ins every game. Why ? Because while people are figuring out new strategies every game there always has to be that guy who cheeses or all ins, because if people are figuring out new builds and uses for the new units the one thing that every build has have in common is how well it deals with cheese and all ins.
What do you expect from SC2: HotS?
I expect a proper beta. Not unlike Wings beta where while some of fixing happened it was mostly like any other beta a marketing beta instead of a proper beta which I belive this one is going to be.

I feel a healthy relationship should be free from expectation, I have only hope for good games
; I want this beta key, simply put, because im a true starcraft fan. The mere thought of being able to test HotS in the midst of others is exhilarating; the ability to test new units, to lose to others ONLINE, and to feel the feat of defeat and victory on a new interface on the soon to be BEST GAME OF THE millennium would be an honor. If you were to give me that honor, I would return that same honor to this site, wowjuju. Not to mention I have the next 4 months FREE, yes FREE, to spend 10-14 hours on sc2.
- What do you expect from HotS?
A gaming experience that is AT-LEAST 1% more enjoyable (brought through the new versatile features introduced) than the original, because even 1% is more of a motivating factor to lead me to spend countless hours over the game - and help contribute towards its development.
I just want the beta key so I can show off to my friends. I expect HotS to be fresh.
Because I'm a very dedicated fan. I check my mail everyday to see if there is a key.
Unfortunately I was inactive for months due to personal reasons and blizzard watches past active players are priority. THerefore I probably wouldn't get the key from blizz themselve, so giveaways like this are my only hope to feel the magic of the new beta : (

On regard of what do I expect from HOTS.
I expect nothing less than the results of the dedication of Blizzard to the game. They give their best to make it more enjoyable to us, and they depend on us as players to help them determine what is good and what is not for the game.
contrary to the people who keep complaining about the ui and everything on the forums and on #savehots, I Think Hots is going to be amazing! i play a ton of sc2 and i dont wanna get demoted on my first weeks on hots because everyone knows all the new stuff already!
I get mad everyday when i log in to battle.net to see if i got a beta key yet (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ !
There' people who dont even own WoL that get beta keys! thats what i then think to myself.

I have played starcraft 2 sience the very frist day sience then i have been loving starcraft. The ONLY game i ever play several hours a day is starcraft/starcraft 2 right now and i check my mail 3 times a day just to see if i got the beta key.I gave up hope until yesterday when i found this i got my hopes up! I really want to see (and and try out) then new units and the new awesome UI.
What do you expect from SC2:HotS?
I expect from HotS that the game will ''explode''. I think there will be tons of new exciting strategies and playstyles. But i will also expect the new c lans and stats to be amazing and welcome many new players to the starcraft community!
Because i love the Starcraft-Universe and would really like it to get a headstart regarding ladder games before the official release.
