With the launch of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria expansion, the subscribers went up a bit. WoW passed the 10 million subscribers once more.

Now, at the latest press release, it was announced that the numbers dropped to 9.6 million.

I don't think anyone should worry about it, not even Blizzard, because it's usually like this. We should keep in mind that most of the WoW players also play the other Blizzard franchises. Diablo III remains the number 1 best-selling PC game after all, and Mists of Pandaria is number 3.
