Last year, at BlizzCon 2009, BLizzard presented the new Battle.net service. We made a brief cover for it back then and even if this was more related to Starcraft II we still bring it up now because we have a new official preview on it and, as you might knwo already, this won't "affect" only Starctaft players...
I think we can see the new Battle.net as a huge Blizzard social network for all their games (no wonder why we all merged out WoW accounts a while ago...)

On topic: I'm very excited about this new battle.net since it will allow easier tracking of friends throughout WoW and other Blizzard games. I'm going to play SC2 a lot as well so it's great that WoW mates can just send a message to me if they'd like me to join a raid.

One thing in particular that I hope they'll add is battle.net guilds. The only thing that I dislike about SC is that it won't allow me to chat with my WoW guildies. They're a wonderful bunch and it'd be great if guildchat is cross-game. ^_^
