Don't know about any similarities with the WoW movie, but I loved this teaser.

I was expecting to see some movie trailer made after the Avatar animation series. Anyhow this looks great also :D
After all this waiting I guess WoW movie will look even better and maybe we will see some trilogy of that WoW movie, because i don't think all these years of Lore will fit in just 1 single movie ;)

Regarding the Avatar: The Last Airbender movie, the teaser is out already. We don't get to see much, though :(

Hopefully now everyone has seen Avatar.  The similarities to WoW are all over the place.

Night elf / Draenai hybrids
Ground and air mounts
Floating mountains - Outland?  Nagrand especially.
Mining
Jungles - Scholazar Basin / Ungoro crater anyone?  ;-)
Not to mention the 'Terran' types - mmm Starcraft?  lol

I absolutely love the film, have seen it twice now - and you gotta see it in 3D - it is the only way!

The technology they used for this just makes me hard thinking about what they can do for WoW.  heh

One can find similarities between WoW and almost any other fantasy type movie. That being said, I thought that Avatar was an okay movie.

Man, you aren't making any sense.  First you found no similarities between WoW (ie WoW movie) and the trailer, and yet, now you claim you can find that stuff with any fantasy movie?

Come again? Where did I say that I did not find anything similar between WoW (not the movie, since I haven't seen it yet) and Avatar? I just said that those similarities can be found almost anywhere and that I thought that Avatar was an okay movie...

That's because Blizz takes the best from all forms of media and incorporates it into WoW.
