Hi!

I assume you're aware of this, but RepCalc doesn't handle spaces very graciously. When you enter a multi-word server name, and hit submit, the following page has the spaces replaced by the URL-encoded equiv - %20. If you resubmit the form with this encoded value, it rejects it and cannot find the server. To rub salt in it, the back button doesn't work on this site, so the only way to resubmit a search, or look for a fresh character, is to retype the server name. I wouldn't mind if I were on Vol'jin or Uldum, but I can assure you that long names get very tiresome :(

This affects many populous servers. I'm on Chamber of Aspects, but the same problem will affect people on Emerald Dream and Argent Dawn, just to name two very old, heavily populated servers over here on the EU side of things.

To reproduce:

  • Go to http://www.wowjuju.com/repcalc and enter EU, Chamber of Aspects, Polegara, then hit submit.
  • Enter Ildera to replace Polegara in the character name field, and hit submit again.
  • It will return "Wrong Realm / Character name. Please check your spelling."
  • To check that this isn't an incorrect name issue, repeat the process with the names reversed.

It should be fixable just by reversing the encoding when you populate the server name field.

Thanks for such a great tool,

Pol.

Hi there,

I have tested this on Firefox and Chrome and everything works just fine. Can you please tell me what browser are you using?

Cheers.
