It's been a long time since we had a news entry about the RepCalc, even if we read all your feedback and we kept everything up to date (well, most of the tings).

Before Cataclysm, the new Armory was launched and we knew this time will come eventually, when we will have to switch to the new API. A few weeks ago Blizzard start releasing their new API and today most of the tings are pretty much in place so we can work on it.

We already tested things out and for the new armory API and everything works great. Now we only have to make the switch, but that wont be that easy and it may take some time.

We already know that the Old Armory, the one we are still using, is going to be closed on August 2 and we hope that we will be ready by then. If now, after that date the current RepCalc is going to be closed until we finish working on the new one. If we complete the switch before that you may experience some problems too but those should last for a few minutes only.

Long story short, we will update everything and we will make the RepCalc working with the new Armory. All we ask is a bit of patience.

great to here =) will there be new features also? to be honest i dont know what these could be but asking is allowed i guess^^

Good luck with the update - changing an interface for existing programs is always 'interesting' (or was that 'challenging'? :-))
Based on your past record, I'm confident that the new version will be at least as awesome and useful as the old one.

I was shocked at how easy the migration to the new API was. I just need to parse the JSON and my little program will still function. The best part is, the new API tells you what recipes any player has. The possiblities for new crafting sites is endless. Hell Wowjuju could tell you in the rewards tab if you haven't bought the pattern/formula/etc. Very nice upgrade to the armory warhorse.
