Patch 4.3: The New Darkmoon Faire Island
First of all no not miss the official preview of this new 4.3 feature. We wont just paste the whole thing in here. This is just a list of the highlights of that official article.
Here is what you should expect from the new Darkmoon Faire:
- No more old locations for the Faire. Now it has a special island. You'll need to be at least lvl 10 to participate.
- New tickets are going to be introduced. The old one are going to be useless. You'll need them to buy everything here.
- New quests and games.
- We still can turn in the Darkmoon decks.
- Old items that you can transmogrify are going to be sold here.
- Some heirlooms will be added too.
- A bunch of profession recipes, a fez-wearing monkey (some pet), toys, balloons, souvenirs, foods and drinks are going to be added too.
- New achievements and titles special made for the new Darkmoon Faire.
- The tickets are going to be earned playing games like: Whack-a-Gnoll, the Tonk Battle Royale, the Cannon, Ring Toss, the Shooting Gallery etc.
- You can play 5 games at the time. Once a month you'll be able to earn those tickets and to purchase any goods you like.
- Some Darkmoon Artifacts are going to be spread all over the Azeroth. You'll have a Darkmoon Field Guide to find those.
- Again, each month we'll have the opportunity to find those Artifacts.
- When you'll hand in the artifacts: you’ll get valuable experience, earn a better reputation and sometime you get Darkmoon Faire Prize Tickets too.
- The Field Guide will help you get to the location of the Faire.
- Profession skill can be increased at he faire too (up to five skill points per profession). Along with exp and tickets.
- There will be a Darkmoon Deathmatch Pit. I guess it will be something like the current Gurubashi Arena. The pit will be available every 3 hours.
- Except the Pit, the whole area is Sanctuary. So no ganking and world pvp there. The woods around the Faire are not safe either. Watch it.
- The dates of the event are the same. Check your calender.
- During the first week of each month, convenient Darkmoon Faire outposts with Darkmoon Portals will appear in Elwynn Forest and Mulgore, offering free rides to Darkmoon Island and the Faire!
BlizzCon 2011 Pet: Murkablo
This is the new pet that those who attend the BlizzCon 2011 or buy the DirecTV stream ticket will get. Anyone can figure it out now that is related to Diablo 3 and also Blizzard says that Murkablo is the aquatic protégé of Diablo III's eponymous Lord of Terror! Heh.
The goody bag will contain a pet for Starcraft 2 also, but we will have to wait a bit to see what/who that pet might be.
By the look of the provided screenshot looks like this little fella' is a mean one. He sets people on fire. We should handle him with caution...
