Mists of Pandaria: I bet by now everyone heard that Blizzard registered that trademark like a month ago. There weer a few people asking me to post something about this and everyone started to speculate that this is going to be the next expansion name. I wanted to wait a bit before we say something about it because I wanted to see some official reactions to this...
Two days ago IGN spoke with Game Director Tom Chilton and Art Director Chris Robinson and they found out a few thing about this Mists of Pandaria trademark and some more details about 4.3 patch.
About Mists of Pandaria
If we'd quote Chilton, he said about the Pandaria as the next expansion that it was a speculation "wildly overhyped". After that he added: "If you look at traditionally how we've handled that race it's been in those secondary products because we haven't realized it in the world. Most of the time when we do anything panda-related it's going to be a comic book or a figurine or something like that."
Everyone is free to speculate more and even think this is going the next expansion name. But now, the main question is, if this is not the next expansion what it might be? Because I personally don't think you have to trademark this as a software, computer game, mouse pads and some devices if it's only a book.
I believe that more details about this are going to be heard at this year's BlizzCon (that's October,21).
More about 4.3
We already spoke about some of the new 4.3 stuff like New 4.3 Darkmoon Faire, Transmogrification and Void Storage Compilation and there also was a 4.3 Gamescom Interview.
Beside all those things a few more were revealed on IGN article.
Seems like the all those three new instances are going to introduce us to the Deathwing fight. It is pretty much the same as the instances back in ICC build up for the Lich King fight. All three of them are connected lore-wise and you'll follow the same story by running them.
As for the Deathwind fight it will have multipe stages and it will be longer than any in-game content. Here is what Chilton added about the fight:
"The fight takes place in multiple different environments, you'll actually potentially get loot at different points in the encounter so it's broken up into larger scale overall. Players will start at Wyrmrest Temple and then eventually it progresses to players fighting on [Deathwing's] back flying towards the Maelstrom, trying to wrestle him to the ground, basically."
Seems like more and more news start to pile up now. What do you hope to hear about next?
