I’m pretty sure most of you are aware now that a few days ago there were a bunch of people who exploited a quest and gained a ton load of Artifact Power.
Well, if you didn’t know, now you do. Heh.
Initially, Blizzard only banned those players involved in that exploit for a couple of days without removing that AP they farmed. So basically, a player who farmed about 1.4M AP got one day ban and when he came back he could enjoy that extra AP.
As you imagine the community, including me to be honest, didn’t like that at all. In fact, I was prepared to start a debate here to see what do everyone think about this.
Luckily @WarcraftDevs sent a tweet a while ago saying this:
We'll be removing the AP earned from those who excessively abused this exploit. https://t.co/9Ga44e87Ud

So yeah, the Artifact Power they gained will be removed. I’m not sure how are they going to do this or when but the good part is that they are going a good thing by doing this. Why? Because this would have been a pretty toxic precedent and I’m pretty sure a lot of people would start exploiting whatever they could find without thinking about the consequences. Honestly for 1.4M AP, anyone would take a one day break I guess…
Now tell me, how do you feel about all this? Do you think other measures are needed in this situation?
